Last Friday, Erwin (One of the master in Ariba and the Godfather of JPMC) celebrated his birthday in the office. His birthday was on Sunday (November 27) but since there was no office on Sunday, he decided to treat us last Friday. He bought two 18 inches Yellow Cub pizza for us. I ate a total of four slices. Wow busog nanaman… hehehe… The team gave him a fake (spoof) gift before giving him our real gift. The fake gift was an Ariba manual wrapped in a Kamiseta bag. We just wanted to see his reaction on our fake gift. Hehehe… Actually it was our team lead’s idea. Heehhe… Afterwards seeing his worried looks, we decided to give him our real gift a blue polo shirt. We were supposed to give him an anime figurine of Naruto but it cost P1000 so we just decided to give him a shirt.
P.S. I don’t know how old Erwin is… Just ask him if you want to know… Hehehe…

Last Wednesday and Thursday, I attended the Charcoal Sketching Class provided by Accenture. The first day was just all lecture and practice. We were taught how to create charcoal dust using sandpaper and a charcoal pencil and how to use the charcoal dust with a brush. We were also taught the basic lighting and shadow philosophy of a picture. The next day, was designated for our sketching proper. We were provided with different pictures/portrait were we could choose from. I chose to draw the church portrait. Just refer to the pictures above to see the result of my drawing. Hehehe… Isang malaking Joke…

Our client provided our team an apartment for 6 days, from Friday to Wednesday (November 18-23). As usual, susulitin ko yan. Hehehe… Anyway, I slept there on Friday and Sunday to Wednesday. I wasn’t able to use the apartment on Saturday since I had a SFC activity that night. The team took turn in availing the free breakfast. I was able to avail the breakfast for Saturday and Monday together with Aldrin. Nanah and Karren got it on Sunday morning. Nanah was able to avail it again on Monday. And our other teammate used it on Tuesday and Wednesday. I also learned how to cook my own breakfast and dinner though it was all fried foods. Hehehe… I had 3 longanisa and scrambled egg dinner on Tuesday, omelet (with cheese and potato) and 2 longanisa on Wednesday’s breakfast, corned beef on Wednesday’s lunch, 1 scrambled egg and chicken nuggets on Wednesday’s dinner, 3 longanisa and 1 Sunny side up egg for breakfast on Thursday, and omelet (with cheese and potato) and chicken nuggets for lunch. Wowwww… Ang healthy naman… hehehe… Feeling ko nahigh-blood ako sa sobrang daming itlog and preserved foods na kinain ko for 3 days… hehehe… Anyway, I made a stupid mistake while cooking a longanisa for the first time. I fried the longanisa with the plastic still on it. I didn’t know that I was supposed to remove the plastic before cooking it. So I end up sucking the meat out of the plastic when I ate it. Parang ice candy… hehehe… As a whole, masaya naman yung stay ko sa hotel. The place was comfortable plus I didn’t have to waste my time commuting for more than 2 hours a day and I didn’t have to wake up before 6 am every morning.
P.S. Syempre inuwi ko lahat ng soap, shampoo, body wash, and lotion for souvenirs… Hehehe…

Walang Magawa sa Pera (Yabang...)

I don’t know what got into me last Sunday, I felt like I wanted to spend all my money. Maybe it is the sale on Glorietta… Maybe it is my urge to buy new stuffs for myself… What ever it is, this is my first time to shop this much and this expensive. I was already planning to buy a new leather shoes and a brand new watch months ago but I can’t find the time and money to do it. When the midnight sale at Glorietta took place at the same time with me having to go to office at Sunday afternoon, I found my perfect opportunity to buy my stuffs at Sunday morning. I first strayed around Glorietta to assess and weigh the discounts of different leather shoes and watches. When I have finally went to practically all stores of shoes and watches, I decided to buy a Nike watch worth P6,300 with a 30% discount which is equivalent to a sale price of P4,410. After which I both a Bensimon leather shoes at Shoe Salon which originally cost P5,500 but I was able to buy it for P4,400 due to the 20% discount. After buying the two which I originally planned to buy, I felt I still have excess box so I decided to buy a semi-formal brown shoes. Unfortunately (or Fortunately), the shoes that I wanted in Kickers doesn’t have my size. On my way out of Glorietta, I found a nice polo in Oxygen so I bought it for P899.10 on a 10% discount which was originally P999. After all the endless roaming around and signing of credit card receipt, I decided to call it quits. When I was about to go back to office, my brother told me that we would buy a digital camera since it was already sale at Glorietta. Again, I roamed around Glorietta to find the finest digi-cam based on price, discount, and quality. I found a Casio camera in a store at the walkway at the corner of Greenbelt and Landmark. It costs P14,300 which was originally almost P17,000. Good thing my brother would pay 60% and 40% for me which totals to P5,720 additional expense on my part. Wow I spend a total of P15429.1 in just half of a day. I’m not used to doing this since I’m known for being practical and penny-wise person. But come to think of it, this is one advantage of being single. You have more time and money to spend for yourself. Hehehe…

180 pesos… First time ko mag salon kasi practical akong tao (kuripot). Hehehe…

Last Friday ay Holiday… Yahoooo… All boys gimik – Dru, Kowtz, Mon, Vic, and Me. Nagmeet kami sa may McDo sa Lasalle. Ang usapan ay 4:30pm. I was already there before 4. Dumating si Mon and Kowtz ng sakto 4:30. Si Dru… hmmmm… 4:30 kakagising pa lang daw… Anoooooohhhhh?!?! We were already at Shell before 6 and Vic arrived malapit na mag 7. Hehehe. We went there without any plan kung ano ang gagawin. Bahala na kung ano maisipan… hehehe… Syempre naghanap muna kami ng makakainan ng dinner… Hmmmm… Saan kaya maganda kumain… Yung wala sa Manila dapat… McDo kaya… O kaya JoBee… O KFC kaya… hehehe… Labo… Anyway, kumain kami sa mushroom burger. I ordered mushroom burger (syempre kailangan matikman), Tapsilog, and black gulaman. OK yung mushroom burger… Hehehe… Velocity contains mixes of GSM Blue, Sprite, and Gatorade (the blue one) while Diesel contains GSM Blue, Sprite, and Gatorade (the orange one). I’m not sure of the mixes, hinulaan ko lang based sa mga binili namin sa 711. Hehehe… Yung una naming plan was to back-up the van near the cliff and don uninom sa likod ng van para over-looking. Hehehe… I’m not really a drinker but I could safely say that Velocity doesn’t taste as hard as other alcoholic drinks. Masarap siya… Manamisnamis… hehehe… After namin maubos yung isang 1.5 ng velocity, gumawa si Kowtz ng isang bote ng Diesel and isang bote ng Velocity. So inakyat na namin yung dalawang bote ng Sprite kuno. So inubos na lang namin yung isang 1.5 ng Diesel and konti na lang Velocity. Ang tagal namin dun sa Starbucks from 9 to 12 ata. Hehehe… After nun, nag Select kami then umuwi na ng pass 1am.

The whole of Last week (October 26-30), I took the English Skill Training - Basic. It would just be fair if I wrote this entry in the English language. Anyway, I’m not suppose to attend this training due to hectic project demands but my manager insisted that I take this training since we couldn’t find any replacement. So there I was attending the 8-hour training and going back to office to do SCM activities. Woahhhhhhhh… The training started with a pre-assessment exam (both written and oral). As usual, I got a passing score at the written part but not so good on the oral part, especially the pronunciation portion. Cop… Cap… Still… Steal… Tall… Toll… Woahhhhh… Aren’t they pronounced in the same way?!?!? Too bad they aren’t. Anyway, after the pre-assessment, we started with the first agenda which is Confidence-Building. Liz, our facilitator, was able to present the topic in an interesting way. I was intrigued by her because she was a DJ at RT 99.5 yet she’s very pretty. I have a notion that DJs have good voices but not so good physical features. “Her beauty was intimidating.” This was one of the comments on her from her previous class. We had a different proctor from Tuesday ‘til Friday since Liz has to handle the Intermediate class. Ahhhhhhhh… Her replacement was Mark. Mark is a well-spoken individual who can express himself with confidence and pride. He has an immense knowledge on the English language. Of course he has a vast knowledge on the English dialect. Why would he be a facilitator if not? How stupid of me to write that line. Anyway, for the next four days, we tackled Organization and Structure, Accent Neutralization, Grammar Skills, Idiomatic Phrases, and English Comprehension. We also had numerous activities and CFUs which gave us time and chance to bond with our classmates. The training was wrapped up with our final exam which all of us passed with flying colors. I already miss my classmates, the activities, and most especially the free foods. Hi to my classmates Ruel, Arjay, Red, Jet, Tom, Reah, Sylvie, and Sarah. Hello to our facilitators, Liz and Mark, and our HR Rep, Reah. I better end this entry before I get criticized for attending a 1 week English training and still write this bad. Hehehe…
P.S. Schwa is a mid-central neutral vowel, typically occurring in unstressed syllables.
