Hayyyyyy… Grabe… I watched “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” this Friday night alone. The movie was free for Accenture employees so I signed up for the reservation of seats. Only the first 320 employees who registered would be accommodated. At first, it was ok with me to watch alone since I don’t have any gimik this Friday night. But as I was watching the movie and had no one to talk to and seeing most movie goers with a partner (girlfriend-boyfriend), I suddenly felt lonely and depress. Haaaayyyyy… naisip ko kung may girlfriend siguro ako… malamang hindi ako nanonood mag-isa dito… As I was going home (alone) and ride the fx (alone), I can’t help but think of my situation right now. Lately, I was feeling down whenever I see partners walking happily together. Back in college, I didn’t felt this urge to have a relationship since I have a good and happy set of friends wherein I didn’t felt the desire to have an intimate and serious relationship with someone. But lately, I don’t know why but I am really feeling desperate to have a relationship. I hope this desperation of mine won’t clog my judgment and just have a relationship with anyone available in the choices. Sometimes, I wonder what’s wrong me… Is it that I’m too choosy or the plain fact that I don’t have the guts to go for someone that I’m not sure would like me? Am I too afraid to go through situations with uncertain results? Haaaayyyyyyyy… I can’t help but feel sorry for myself… Lord, please help me find the right girl for me and give me courage to pursue her. Haaaayyyyyy… I feel so alone and depress… good thing it is already pass midnight and I am about to sleep. I hope tomorrow I would feel much better… I hope I could sleep… Haaaaayyyy… LLL

Last Wednesday night, we had our team building for August. This was another impromptu team building. We’re already getting used to this kind of impromptu planning. At first, there were so many plans buffet at an (1) African restaurant (because we’re having a food trip which we started at Chinese Foods then Indian Food), (2) watch a movie then eat dinner, (3) watch movie at Gateway in Cuboa (because we heard that the cinemas there were great and as of now it is the most expensive cinema in the Metro), (4) play bowling then eat dinner at Rockwell, and lastly (5) play mini golf at the Fort and eat dinner (my personal choice). In the end, we end up watching movie and having buffet dinner at Glorietta.

We were supposed to watch “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” but since it has a free showing for Accenture employees on Friday, we decided to find another film. Nanah also suggested watching “D’Anothers” for a change and to patronize Filipino movies. All of us were game to watch the movie but our team lead didn’t like it. Hehehe… So finally we just decided to watch “The Wedding Crasher” except for Nanah since she has already watched the movie but she has no choice because majority wins. Hehehe… There were only six of us (Allan, Erwin, Oscar, Nanah, Lalaine, and I) that joined this team particular building which has the fewest participants I’ve been with. The movie started at 5:40 but we arrived about 10 minutes late so our team lead decided to just watch the movie “Crash” so that we could watch the movie from the start. Personally, I still prefer the “The Wedding Crasher” even if we can’t watch the early part of the movie because I want to watch a funny and stress reliever movie. At that time, I didn’t feel watching a movie were in I have to think because my mind was already stressed out and “Crash” is that kind of movie. Hehehe… For me, it was a good quality movie but definitely not great. It had a star stated cast but it tackled with so many stories which got my obsolete mind confused. Hehehe… At last, I was glad the movie was over because I was already starving since it was already 9 pm.

We planned to eat at Saisaki or Dads but they were too expensive so we decided to just eat at Cabalen. Grabe… I so full, I could barely walk. I had three rounds of plate full of rice and different Filipino viands. Afterwards, even if I am already full, I forced myself to eat halo-halo for dessert (my favorite dessert and I won’t let it just pass by). Hehehe… Gluttony na toh… hehehe…

After eating, Lalaine and Erwin went home but Allan, Nanah, Oscar, and I decided to play at Time Zone. We used the free games from the movie ticket plus shed out some additional cash. Grabe tagal ko nag hindi nagtatime zone…. Ang saya… hehehe… we spent all the amount of the card in the basketball shootout and Daytona. Oscar then refilled the card and we played a Korean/Japanese game that we can’t read the instructions on how to play since it was written in Korean/Japanese but were guessing it based on the illustrations given. Grabe ang saya nung laro kasi hindi mo kailangan magisip ng matindi. And sometimes it was fun since we were guessing what to do and was just pressing all the buttons since we didn’t understand the instruction. Ang saya-saya kahit ginabi kami and kailangan kong pumasok before 8 am tomorrow oks lang… Masaya naman e… hehehe…

Hayyyyyyyy…. I had to wake up early this morning, 5:20 am to be exact, because I have a scheduled training entitled “English Skills Training Pre-Assessment” at 8:00 am. I arrived at office at 7:30 am and I was so sleepy since I slept past 12 midnight because we had a team building (sine-buffet-timezone) the night before. I’ll tell the story of our team building in another entry. Anyway, I went to our training place at PSE training room 609. The main speaker introduced herself and her assistant at the back. Then we started are pre-assessment exam… Grammar… Verb-Subject agreement… Plural forms… Idioms… Listening Skills… After the written part, we were divided into two groups one was assigned to the main old speaker and the other to the young and cute assistant. Grabe… It was only there that I noticed that the assistant was so so so cute. I didn’t notice her before since she was staying at the back and I was seated in front. We were divided into two groups in order to have a one on one oral test (pronunciation and oral interview) with our designated speaker. Good thing I was assigned at the young and cute assistant. Grabe… nagpahuli talaga ako para matitigan siya ng matagal… hehehe… Grabe she’s so cute… She’s not the pretty-model type girl. She’s a bit chubby but was so cute. Did I already say that she was so cute? Hayyyyyyy… Nainlove nanaman ako… hehehe… adik… Then came my much awaited one on one… Hayyyyyyyy grabe… I was looking straight at her eyes… she’s so cute… her rounded eyes… her mesmerizing smile… her small lips… grabe… she’s so cute… hehehe… she told me that I had a very positive aura since I was always smiling. She also told me that her best friends name is also Ryan and she likes him a lot. Hayyyyyyy… sasabihin ko sana… Since you already have a bestfriend named Ryan, would you like to have a boyfriend named Ryan too? Hehehe… labo… Then my heavenly training ended with a shake hand. Kahit alam ko yari ako sa assessment… malamang beginner ang assessment sakin… oks lang… My day was complete because of my cute proctor. By the way, I forgot her name because she’s so cute. Hehehe… adik… Hayyyyyyyy… She’s so cute talaga…JJJ

Last Friday, I had to leave the office early to prepare for the 3-day Single for Christ (SFC) Metro-Manila Leaders Conference (MMLC) at Subic. Grabe ang saya at ang daming nagyari sa weekend na ito… So I would just divide the topics.
MMLC Talks
There were a total of four talks scheduled in the conference. The first talk was held last Friday night which I wasn’t able to attend since my chaptermates and I arrived Saturday morning. Anyway, the talk was entitled “Life is a Trip.” As SFC our destination is the eternal kingdom of God with the task of winning and attracting others to join this trip. The second talk was entitled “Crossroads.” Crossroads are inevitable in life. Crossroads are considered as blessings because it reminds us to alw! ays consult the Author of life, Jesus. The third talk was entitled “One Way.” Christ is the only way and the one true way. Responding and Maturing with Christ is the only sure-road to take in this life’s journey. The last and final talk was entitled “Head Up on the Highway.” As we head towards the highway towards the eternal kingdom of God, we allow Christ to conquer our hearts and our minds and be transformed in order to become the disciples that we are called to be. That sums up the four talks of the conference. All of which were very enlightening in how! we should live and ride our trip in life.
The Basketball Game

After participating in 6 Sundays of basketball (4 Try-outs and 2 Practices), the team is now poised to play the game that we love for Christ. All games were knock-out games which mean once you lose you are automatically eliminated. First game, the game was fun and high octane. We won the game by a comfortable margin. Second game, the game was very defense oriented and was a low scoring ball game. The game went to overtime and in the overtime we were poised to win with 3 seconds left and our team on top by 2 points. Unfortunately, the desperation shot of our opponents from just across the half court went in a! s time expired and we lost by 1 point. Grrrrrrr…. But its ok they deserved the win after a miraculous shot like that. It’s just I don’t like losing especially on a close game. Anyhow, we’re all sports and gave congratulatory shake hands and high fives to the winner.
The Trip
The trip was the best and worst part of the conference. On our way to Subic, since most of us were asleep we missed the intersection that we should have turned left in order to reach Subic. Instead we went straight not knowing it was going to Bataan. While traveling and not knowing that we are already lost, we were mesmerized by the beautiful, large, and leafy trees around us. The mountains and the clouds were also very astonishing. We just went on and on reaching the zigzag roads of the death march. But when we reached the bottom of the mount! ain and saw the Bataan Economic Zone, we realized that we were already lost. So we asked for direction and we found out that we are already at Mariveles, Bataan which is already 2 hours out of way of our destination. Whaaaatttttt… But if we look at it on the bright side, at least we have experienced going to Mariveles and see the dead march road and view the large Cross standing on top of Mt. Samat. At long last after a grueling 5 to 6 hours of travel, we have reached our destination Subic.

On our way home to Manila, just when you think we’ve learned form our trip towards Subic, our fortunes just got worst. hehehe… Instead of using exit at Subic, we decided to use the exit at Olanggapo so that we could do a little tour. Unfortunately, we went on and on again without seeing any exit back to Manila. When we were already traveling for almost 2 hours we decided to ask and found out that we are already at Zambales and again lost. hehehe… So we had to go back to Subic and use the exit there towards manila. Whaaaatttttt… again… didn’t we learn our lesson… hehehe… On our way to North Express, we saw Razon’s Restaurant which is know for there delicious and unique Halo-Halo. So we decided to stop for a meryenda. We ordered palabok and halo-halo for everyone. It was my first time to eat there and grabe ang sarap nga talaga ng halo-halo nila. I recommend this to everyone. You should try there halo-halo. After finishing our meryenda, we saw our back tire totally flat to the point that the fx could not travel anymore. So we had to walk to the nearest vulcaniz! ing shop. It took us approximately 5-10 minutes of walk to reach 7-E vulcanizing. There we met Kuya Elmer who was so kind to fix and replace our tire. Grabe na toh… series of unfortunate events na toh ah… hehehe… So we went on and prayed that it would be the last of our trip blunders. At last we arrived at the North Express Road then to Manila then Cuboa. Yahooo… lapit na… Before we went home, Ate Lanie who celebrated her birthday 3 days ago decided to treat us to dinner since it was already late. Nagising lahat nung sinabi nya yun… hehehe… Gutom na kasi 8 pm na… She treated us a! t the ihaw-ihaw area in Marikina riverbanks. Wow sarap ng pagkain… Inihaw na tilapia, liempo, sisig, at sinigang na ulo ng tuna… sarap nabusog ako… Thank you sa treat Ate Lanie and belated happy birthday… So After almost 8 hours of grueling and exhausting travel on the road we finally arrived home safely. Praise the Lord.
The Other Happenings
Aside from the talks, games, and trip, there we’re lots of happenings that we’ve experience. First of which is we were caught violating Subic traffic laws. First of which we were stopped by the traffic enforcer for 2 reasons not following Full Stop rule (P100) and not wearing seatbelt (P300). When he asked for my friend’s driver’s license, he could not find it which would be fined additional P750. Whhaaaaattttt… that P1,150… Good thing he saw his license underneath his chair. haaaayyyyyy… When we were about to pay him P450 pesos for the two violations, he told us to just arrange it. In short, lagyan mo na lang ako. Grabe talaga tong mga traffic enforcers na toh… So we just gave hime P100 and he didn’t give us any ticket. When we were about to leave Subic, we were again caught for not wearing seatbelt (P300). As usual, naghingi na lang ng suhol worth P100 yung traffic enforcer… hehehe… nagugutom na siguro sya… hehehe…

Other happening that I enjoyed in the conference was the praise fests and parties. We had 2 praise fests in the conference one on Saturday night and another on Sunday night. I enjoyed the singing, praising, jumping, and raising of hands. Grabe ang saya lalo na pang ang dami nyo… The Party was held last Saturday night were in an unknown band played non-stop music. Everyone was dancing and singing. Enjoy talaga… dami ko pang nakitang tsiks… hehehe…

Our other happenings include non-stop pictures… picture-picture… My chaptermates and I went to a picture fest before we went home. Yung nandito yung sa cellphone ko lang. Yung nasa lower right ako rin yan... hehehe... Ang saya-saya talaga. To summarize the conference, it was very enjoyable, enlightening, relaxing and exhausting at times. I really needed the conference to go away from the stress of real life and to refuel my spirituality.
The Expenses
Of course, I can’t join the conference without expenses. Hehehe...
Conference Payment – P800
Ride (Fx) – P500(Initially) + P100 + P50 (Due to misfortunes)
Room – P450
Basketball Uniform – P100(Buti na lang madami kami nasolicit)
MMLC Shirt – P140
Food\Others – P400
Total P2,540
Ano… ganyan ka mahal… grrrrrrrr… Wala na kong pera…. Waaaaahhhhhhhh…

Momi Lalaine’s Birthday Surprise

Our team planned to give Ms. Lalaine a birthday surprise last Friday since she would be celebrating her birthday on Saturday (July 30). Allan, our team lead, asked me to buy flowers, cake, and card for Lalaine. Last Thursday, I went to glorietta to canvass for the flowers and cake and buy a card. At Friday lunch time, Aldrin, Leya, Paulo and May accompanied me to buy the flower at Holland Tulips and to cake at Cheesecake etc. I forgot the name of the flowers we bought but it’s an assorted set of flowers. For the cake, we bought the Berry Temptation. From the name, I presume it is a berry cheesecake with grap! es toppings. We gave the gifts and sang an out of tune happy birthday at around 3 pm. Then we divided the cake amongst ourselves. Grabe…Sarap nung cake… kaya ko siguro ubusin magisa yung cake na yun… hehehe… Happy Birthday po ulit Ms. Lalaine… Ang aking buddy at dakilang Momi ng JPMC. Wish you and your family the best things in life.

According to my research, Namaste is the traditional Indian form of salutation which literally means “I humbly bow to you.” Anyway, enough of the educational part and let’s get back to non-sense. hehehe... Last Thursday night, we had the continuation of our team building at Bollywood, an Indian restaurant in Greenbelt 4. Frankly, I didn’t like the idea since I don’t eat spicy foods. It’s not that I don’t eat spicy foods at all, I just prefer not spicy dishes but if there’s no choice I need lots and lots of ! water by my side. The only spicy food I like is the Bicol express. All of us were present except for Nanah and an anonymous person because they had to attend there respective community class. Anyway, appetizer pa lang ayaw ko na. It was a taco like piece of bread that you would deep into any of the sic choices (spicy sauce, spicier sauce, very spicy sauce, highly spicy sauce, super spicy sauce, extremely spicy sauce). hmmmm… Ano kaya pwede? hehehe… I first tasted the bread but I didn’t like the taste so I just decided not to eat the appetizer. hehehe… While waiting for the main dish, we were watching Indian music videos and were ! giving them there Pilipino look alike. Grabe… puro kembot at sayaw ang ginagawa nila… bata pa lang siguro sila pinapakembot na sila… hehehe… Then came the main dish, honestly I was excited, worried, and hesitant to eat Indian foods. Our main dish includes Indian version of paelya, pie like bread, chicken curry, fish curry, lamb curry, jim curry, mariah curry… hehehe… labo… coryJJJ… Anyway, the food wa! s good it was spicy though, as I expected. I personally liked the bread (sarap lalo na nung mainit pa) and the lamb curry. By the way, I didn’t know it was a lamb until I was almost finished eating. It tasted and looks like a beef. Nabusog ako sa tubig… grabe bawat 3 subo ko yata ng food… uniinom ako… hehehe… Well that ends our July team building food trip. Namaste.JJJ

SFC - East Basketball Team
For the past 6 Sundays, I’ve been attending a tryout for the basketball team that the east sector of Singles for Christ (SFC) is assembling. The team would compete in the Metro Manila Leaders Conference (MMLC) which would be held on July 29 – 31 at Subic. The line up was recently announced and luckily I was included in the team. Yes… Plus pogi points nanaman toh… hehehe… Anyway, the team assembled was not that strong compared to the other basketball team I’ve been with. We lack in height because there were many guards in the line up. But in a positive note we are fast and I think the team has good 3 point shooters. Anyway, I believe that basketball game is not won by talent but by heart and hustle. Naks… Parang coach magsalita ah… hehehe… Good Luck sa team namin… Go for the gold... hehehe...

Sinong Di Mababaliw sa Ulan
Yesterday afternoon, sobrang lakas ng ulan kaya naisipan kong maligo sa ulan. Grabe sarap maligo sa ulan parang balik kabatan ulit ako. It was the perfect time to take a bath in the rain, the rain was pouring so strong, the clouds was so white, there were no lighting only occasional thunders. As far as I could remember, the last time I did this was almost 3-4 years ago. I was still studying in college at that time. Anyway, a friend of mine saw me in front of our house standing still in the strong rain so he asked me to join him in playing basketball at our subdivision’s open court. So I did, we used to that when we were still young. When we arrived at the court, there were so many people there. Some of them I don’t know but most of them I know. We played basketball, even if the ball won’t bounce since the ground was full of water. Para kaming mga tanga pero oks lang. If all of you are doing an unusual or extraordinary thing, it would not seem unusual since all of you are doing it. I even saw my childhood crush. Grabe and taba na nya… hehehe… buti na lang hindi ko na sya crush… hehehe… I played in the rain for about 2 hours and when the rain subsided, I went home and took a real bath. That’s all. I really enjoyed the day and hope to do it more often. It’s good to do childish activities once in a while. It was very relaxing though I got a little bit of colds because of that. hehehe…

Ambush Team Building Dinner
Last Friday, I went back to the office after my training at around 5:30 pm to get my things, check my mail, and makipagkwentuhan, manggulo, and mangulit with my teammates. Anyway, when I arrived, they told me there was an issue and asked me to help resolved the issue. waaaaaaaahhhhhh…. Just when I thought I could go home early, a work was assigned to me. But it’s ok, it all part of my job and I don’t want to leave the team with an issue without giving an extra hand. Since the issue was not yet resolved and it is already pass 7 pm, our team lead decided to use half of our team building budget for July to have a dinner. We decided to have a dinner at Chef Angelo, also known as Chef Paulo JJJ, but unfortunately the queue was so long and the place was already packed with people. So Allan suggested eating at a newly opened restaurant named Aveneto Pizzaria Restaurant which specializes mainly at pastas and pizzas. And since the restaurant just recently opened and is currently on a promotional stage, it is not that expensive. Exactly the place we are looking for. hehehe… All of us were present except for Karren and another team member. The two already went home at the time we decided to have an ambush team building dinner. We were nine in total, eight JPMCista plus James (the boyfriend of Nanah). We ordered four pastas (two white sauce and two red sauce) and four pizzas. Actually, there were only two plates of pizza but each plate is divided into two different pizzas. kain-kain… kwento-kwento… kain-kain… kwento-kwento… Grabe busog na busog ako… As usual, tinikman ko lahat ng dishes and inubos ko ang mga natira… hehehe… grabe after eating halos hindi na ko makahinga and hindi ko na mastomach-in yung tyan ko kaya bundat ako… hehehe… After we’ve finished eating, we asked for the bill and we found out that they don’t accept credit card. Good thing the restaurant is not that expensive. Our bill only cost 2,140 pesos. It’s very cheap for an Italian pizza-pasta restaurant taking in consideration the number of dishes we ordered and that all of us were very full after eating. The bad thing about this is I had to shed out 2,200 pesos to pay for the bill and would not get the reimbursement until August 15. Furthermore since the bill is 2,140 pesos and I gave 2,200 pesos, I gave a tip of 60 pesos which is unusual for me. If not for our team lead, I would have only given 20 pesos for the tip. hehehe… kuripot… Afterwards, we went back to the office and fixed the pending issue.
